De Ketelaere scored his first Serie A goal and provided the assist as Inter Milan defeated Atalanta 2-1 at San Siro on Sunday.

The Belgian forward was handed his first start of the season by head coach Antonio Conte, who made several changes to his team's formation.

De Ketelaere wasted no time making an impact, scoring the opener with a well-taken finish from close range after good work from Romelu Lukaku.

The second half saw Atalanta come back strongly, but De Ketelaere provided the impetus needed to secure the win for Inter.

He was involved in both goals, assisting Matino's equaliser and then setting up Ivan Perisic for the winner.

It was a solid performance from De Ketelaere, who has been tipped to be one of the stars of the Serie A campaign this season.

Conte praised his player's contribution, saying: "I'm very happy for him. He is a young player, he came into the game late, but he gave us something important."

Inter have started the season well, winning their opening two matches and conceding just once so far.

They now face a tough test against Roma next weekend, before returning to Serie A action against Bologna on Wednesday.

De Ketelaere will hope to continue his impressive form and help Inter build on their early success.
