Monaco have secured their place in the Europa League with a comfortable 1-0 victory over Reims on Wednesday night.
The Principality side were well worth their win, as they dominated possession for much of the match and created several chances to score. The first real opportunity came when Benjamin Mendy fired wide from a free-kick, but Monaco were able to maintain their dominance throughout the game.
Frédéric Giresse scored the only goal of the match in the 68th minute, after a fine move involving Mendy and Benjamin Mendy. The Frenchman was able to finish off a cross from his brother's head, giving Monaco all three points and securing their spot in the competition.
Giresse has been a standout performer for Monaco this season, scoring six goals in just ten matches. He will be hoping to continue his good form as Monaco look to make it through to the next round of the Europa League.
